I went church after work, to do week 2 of my alpha course... I missed the start coz i got there quite late but basically today was about Jesus..evidence to support he existed..that he was human.. was he more than just a man: a great human: a religious teacher? what he said about himself and all the evidence to support his actual words and his resurrection..
I have to say..the most interesting part for me was.. How do we know that what they wrote down has not been changed over the years?? they had some evidence of historical wriiten work to support the truth in the main events the bible claims is what happened... But an interesting fact i found out was that the New testament was written 97years after Jesus died... meaning how accurate is the 4 eye witness accounts of Matthew, Mark, Luke and John..and why only them 4 at in the bible and not an account from one of the other disciples...
I think because all the evidence i can see are of a secondary source...it wasn't written on the day of the events are happening...it all boils down to faith of which do you believe or not? I think mostly it is faith that Christians have...u cant explain it like you can't explain a gut feeling or intuition or the feeling of an aura... I think unless you experience being touched by the holy spirits or something miraculous in front of your eyes which you can't explain...thats when it's 100% true to you wether God or a higher being exists to you..
I'm not a very closed minded person... I'm open to alot out there...I guess i naturally do have faith in alot of things...I believe in Masaru Emoto's water crystal works where energy and emotions affect everything even to the quality of water.. i'll explain that in another post... I'm just so curious about Jesus now...i'm glad im making progress with my knowledge and knowing my own opinons about it.. :D
